What the game is about
The mini-game “Natural Hazards” is a web learning application for students in middle school about natural caused dangers and risks for humanity. The students play in the role of a scientist responsible for surveilling natural hazards in the USA by monitoring the map for “hazardous events” and categorizing them on the basis of given scientific data. The goal is to correctly assess as many of the occurring hazardous events as possible and create a rough hazard map subsequently.

Step 1: React to occurring hazardous events (blinking lights)
Step 2: Assess the type and strength of the occurring event
Step 3: Receive feedback whether your assessment was correct or not
Step 4: Make a risk assessment for each zone by coloring them after all events occurred
